What prospective members ask

How is Maytif different from an informal savings group?

Maytif is registered under the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Cooperatives and Trade, and governed by committee, dual authorisation and periodic audit.

How much can I borrow as a member?

Members become eligible for credit after six consistent months of savings, and can access up to twice their total savings, subject to committee approval.

Where is my investment capital deployed?

Pooled capital is allocated across fixed income instruments, real estate and SME financing, governed by the Investment Committee.

Is Maytif regulated as a bank?

Maytif currently operates as a registered cooperative. It is pursuing microfinance bank licensing as part of its published roadmap.
